BELFAST RESTAURANT TAPS INTO APPETITE FOR EARLY MORNING COOKED BREAKFASTS
City centre restaurant Solo Kitchen + Bar launches new early morning menu aimed at business community
Solo Kitchen + Bar is hoping to tap into a growing appetite for early morning business breakfasts by launching a new early morning menu from 8am-11.30am at its city centre location in Wellington Place, Belfast.
According to Solo owner, Michael Karan, the new initiative is a logical progression for Solo’s eclectic menu and evolution towards an all-day food and drink offering.
“Eating out for breakfast is a growing trend in the UK as a whole and has become a regular part of the routine for many people. Research shows that 1 in 3 people eat breakfast out at least once a week, most of whom are business people who can combine work with pleasure. Our decision to extend to an all-day food and drink offering is indicative of growing consumer demand and the steady restoration of confidence within the Northern Ireland hospitality market.
“As people’s lives become busier, they’re depending on restaurants more and more for their food. The rising importance of breakfast for caterers is being recognised throughout the UK, from coffee chains to quick service restaurants and independents, with extended breakfast and brunch menus.
“Many companies and sole traders are increasingly arranging breakfast business meetings so they can get important meetings out of the way before going to the office. Our experience is that it can be difficult to get a cooked breakfast in town first thing so we are hopeful this new move will be a success given our downtown location in Wellington Place in the heart of the city.
“We have been investing a lot effort into our breakfast menu which includes a wide range of options from full Ulster Fries to lighter meals as well as both gluten free and vegetarian dishes.
“The hospitality industry is constantly changing, and we recognised the need to evolve to ensure that customer expectations are met.”
