Maze Long Kesh Development Corporation Chairman, Terence Brannigan, has welcomed confirmation that the First Minister and deputy First Minister have given approval for the re-location of the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society’s Pavilions to its site from its present location at The King’s Hall complex, Belfast.
“As a Corporation we have been working closely with all the various stakeholders to work towards this position. From our perspective this is a decision very much in keeping with the Ministers’ ongoing commitment to the RUAS.
“We’re delighted to have reached a point where we can further cement our already strong partnership with the RUAS by having their multi-purpose Pavilions located on our site. This is great news for the RUAS, for the general public who have already voted with their feet in favour of the Maze Long Kesh site as the location for the Balmoral Show and indeed for the Corporation which remains committed to fulfilling its statutory responsibility of securing the regeneration of our landmark 347-acre site.”
