21st century politics and new media

Intriguing to see how new media featured in this evening’s handover of the Prime Ministerial reins from Gordon Brown to David Cameron.  First we see the ‘official’ digi image from the palace meeting between the HM The Queen and the new PM and then, shortly after flickr was featuring the first official pics of Mr and Mrs C inside No 10.  If ever we needed reminding of the 24/7 instantaneous media world and how social media has now merged with conventional media we can see it first hand in these instances.
